Networking ranks first as the reason folks join a chamber. My chamber offers monthly “networking only” breakfasts, “Power Lunches” with two other chambers, mixers at local businesses, and luncheons bringing together residents and business leaders alike. This variety of opportunities makes it possible to match my needs as a small business person.

The Chamber staff interceded on behalf of our company to the county and was able to make a change to posted parking hours. The relationships my chamber has with elected officials made it possible for my second shift employees to gain reasonable parking accommodations without worrying about being ticketed.

The Chamber connected me with SMUD’s SEED program, a way for small businesses to have the opportunity to bid on SMUD contracts (and there are a lot!). In fact, my chamber reached out to me to let me know this contract opportunity was available. The result- a six-figure contract with SMUD to provide vehicle wraps for their trucks.
